Tween Activities

Calling all Tweens, ages 8-12!  Join Tween Advisory Group (TAG) and let us know about the types of things you'd like to do at the library.  The next meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 20th at 4:00pm.  No registration is required - just drop in!  TAG will meet once per month to discuss books, plan programs and work on special projects.  In addition, kids will enjoy a light snack and a craft activity at every meeting.  The January craft will be cardboard tube owls.

Before the next TAG meeting we have a Tween Craft program taking place on Saturday, January 17th @ 11:00am!  Get creative and construct your own winter snow globe scene.  Registration IS required... sign up now at the Children's Desk or call 401-847-8720 ext. 204.

Both activities will take place in the John Clarke Children's Program Room.

The next meeting of the Tween Advisory Group (TAG) will be Tuesday, October 28th at 3:30pm in the John Clarke Children's Program Room.  Get involved in the library!  Discuss books, plan programs and work on special projects.  Enjoy a light snack and a craft activity.

Join TAG

The new Tween Advisory Group (TAG) will meet for the first time on Tuesday, September 30th at 3:30pm in the John Clarke Children's Program Room.  Come and let your voice be heard!  Meet to discuss books, plan programs and work on special projects.  We want your input in the kinds of activities that take place at the library.

No registration is required - just come by! 

New Tween Advisory Group (TAG)

This Fall, the Children's Department is launching a brand new Tween Advisory Group (TAG)!  We are looking for interested Tweens, ages 8-12, who would like to join us for monthly meetings to discuss books, conduct special projects and plan library events. 

Joining TAG will give you a voice in the kinds of programs we offer for Tweens here at the library.  We want your input - do you like to watch movies?  Are you bursting with ideas for special programs?  Have books to recommend to other kids?  TAG is your outlet.

Get involved in your library and meet new people by coming to the first TAG meeting on Tuesday, September 30th at 3:30pm.  No registration is required - just drop-in!  Snacks will be provided.  Held in the John Clarke Children's Program Room.
